Good morning and happy Thursday.  Is it time for a margarita yet?  This week has been a tough one for me.  Nothing really significant happened but I’ve just been feeling a little overwhelmed.  We are in the thick of wedding season and school is about to start so trying to get our kiddies ready has been a battle.  If you follow me on IG you know I’ve been talking a little bit about life/work balance and I have to admit it’s not all rainbows and sunshine.  We fed our boys dinner at 9:30pm the other night.  We had an event at the house and I was supposed to get them fed before it started but of course….life happens and you realize it’s 8:45pm and you never fed the kids.  Of course the boys didn’t even notice, they came down, had snacks, and went back up to their teenage bedrooms to play video games with their besties.  When dinner was finally made they weren’t even hungry but I sat there and felt extreme amounts of guilt.  Parenting can be hard you guys.  Keeping a good life/work balance when you own your own business gets tricky.  But you have to give yourself some leniency.  Have patience with yourself.  Believe that it’s all part of a bigger plan.

Today I’m sharing a Blush Babe who is basically like family to me.  She came into my life quite a few years ago and I’m completely in awe of her journey.  She is living in NY following her dreams and saying I’m proud doesn’t even cut it.  Hanna is like a niece, daughter, friend, and sister all in one.  Can’t wait for you babes to meet her!

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself:
a. Name, age, job, hobbies etc (your three words to describe you)

Hello everyone! My name is Hanna and I am 21 years old. I am currently living in New York attending school full time for fashion. Right now, I work at a Filipino restaurant to pay the bills. I am always down for spontaneous trips which could be traveling to another country or just walking to the park. I would describe myself as passionate, creative, and a dreamer.

2. What is a typical day like for you

My usual day starts with me snoozing my alarm ten times before getting up. I am not a morning person. So, I like to listen to music to wake me up while I get ready to go to class. My school is in Manhattan and I live in Brooklyn so it takes about 35 minutes to get there. My classes are three hours long so I’m always ready for food when I get out! I’ll usually go get lunch somewhere with my friends. Most of the time we go to this Korean BBQ place that has a lunch special or Potbelly because we also get a free cookie with our sandwich. (lol) Spending money on food is my weakness. Then, I go to work at 6:00 and get out around midnight. Im definitely the type of person that needs to make time for myself during the day and clear my head. I like to meditate, read/write, or go to the gym.

3. On hard days, what motivates you to get up and start your day?

It’s easier for me to get up and start my day when I write down the things I need to get done. So, on hard days thinking about my goals and what I want to achieve in the end motivates me to just do it.
4. Who inspires you to live your best life?

My parents inspire me to live my best life. They have supported me in everything I’ve wanted to do. It’s crazy to think how many years they put me first before themselves. I feel so blessed. Now, I want to work as hard as I can so soon they no longer have to.

5. If you could go back and tell your 13 year old self something….what would that be?
I would tell my 13 year old self to stop fighting with my mom. At the time, I thought I knew everything. I really thought that I was grown. I wish I had been more understanding.
6. What is your favorite quote?
“Be so full of love and light that nothing can bother your inner peace”

7. You are inspiring women to stop hating and start loving themselves and each other, what piece of advice would you give them?

I would say to be patient with yourself. Self love doesn’t happen over night. Take the time to learn and understand yourself. And trust your own journey.
Thank you to @cdianne for slaying it on makeup!
