Happy Friday loves! I hope you had a good week and are getting a little rest and relaxation this weekend! I know for us wedding vendors…there is no rest on the weekends! Tomorrow we will be photographing a gorgeous couple in Newport, RI and I honestly can’t wait! It’s at one of my favorite venues. I’ll try to share some behind the scenes on Instagram tomorrow!
Today, I am sharing a little bit about Suzanne, a beautiful Blush Babe who can dance like it’s nobody’s business. She is a girlboss and a positive role model that I think you will love! She has overcome some hardships but has come out on the other side better than ever! Make sure to show her some love!
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself:
My name is Suzanne Gammer, I am 23 years young and will be turning 24 during libra season this month! I currently work in the media compliance industry at Verizon media as a Project Manager. I’m first generation here in America with my parents coming from Odessa, Ukraine. A major hobby of mine is dance, I have been on latin dance teams since college and am now part of three different bachata teams in various styles of bachata. While I also enjoy other styles such as salsa and kizomba. I’ve currently started exploring my passion for painting and am hoping to try out improv in the near future.
2. What is a typical day like for you?
A typical day for me would begin with me getting up early for a 30 minute session at the gym before heading into work. After work heading home for a quick dinner before heading out to a dance rehearsal and then attending a dance social thereafter.
3. On hard days, what motivates you to get up and start your day?
Acknowledging how blessed I am to wake up and be alive and be able to live the life I want to be in. (and also realizing it’s okay to take a mental health day for a reset)
4. Who inspires you to live your best life?
The person who inspires me to live my best life besides my closest friends and family is myself. This year I had gone through a lot of challenges and many of these challenges I had to go through on my own in order to grow past them and through them. Looking back to where I was six months ago shocks me now as I was so broken down and felt defeated by life. I held the power to change this, and I went ahead and kept myself busy. Got myself the help I needed, kept myself active and really did some soul searching. I have learned to inspire myself and push myself to limits that I know I am capable of and this inspires me each and every day by noting my progress.
5. If you could go back and tell your 13 year old self something….what would that be?
I would tell myself to stop trying to grow up so fast!!! Stay a child as long as you can, and don’t assume responsibilities on yourself.
6. What is your favorite quote?

7. You are inspiring women to get out there and love themselves, what piece of advice would you give them?
The advice I would give them is to never forget to love yourself first and be wary with your heart. But not too wary because then you may miss out on amazing experiences. And also to show appreciation to the people that are there for you and show you unconditional, non-judgemental love.
