Being the oldest of three girls I tend to do a lot of mothering. Growing up I was always the mother hen of my two younger sisters Amy, and Gail. Today things are still the same and I am still way too overprotective of them. We are all two years apart which means we were always close. No matter what we are going through in our lives we are always there for one another. I am blessed to have them. They were my first best friends and they will always be my best friends.
Today, you will meet the youngest of us. My baby sis Gail is the mother of one beautiful little girl named Alivia. She is such a good Mom and I am so proud of her and everything she does for her little girl. Gail is my sidekick. My twin. People always get us confused even though we are four years apart in age. She even made up a name for us BSFL (Best sisters for life). Yes, we are such cornballs (she even made us matching anklets with BSFL engraved on them). Gail is one of those people that always makes you laugh. Sometimes I think she should be blonde (no offense) because of the stuff she comes out with. She is just such a fun person to be around.
Gail has grown up so fast in the last couple of years. Sometimes I still can’t believe she is a mom. I remember picking her up from kindergarten everyday, helping pick out her clothes, cheerleading, playing can’t touch the ground (I know you’ve all pretended there was lava on the floor and you would jump and climb on just about anything so you didn’t get sucked into the lava!), her first boyfriend, her first job, all our late night talks, laughing so hard we can’t breathe, and just watching her transform into a woman.
Almost three years ago now Gail was blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Alivia is one of the biggest hams I know. She loves dancing, singing, modeling, playing dress up, food (totally her mothers daughter), playing with her cousins, and just being silly. When I tell you Alivia is silly you just have no idea. She is one of the smartest two year olds I know. She talks and talks and talks. Here are a few of the many faces of Alivia.
I’ve always wanted a daughter but God blessed me with four beautiful boys. Luckily, I have Alivia and my niece Cali to do girly things with. Alivia loves all things pink, purple, and sparkly. Even her donuts need to be pink. With sprinkles. She’s a girl that knows what she wants. Her Mommy makes sure she gets everything her little heart desires.
The two of them have such an amazing bond. I love watching them together. You can see the love just pour right out of them. Alivia has her Mom’s sense of humor. They both just love to laugh.
I love these two with every piece of me. Gail, I just want you to know that I will always be here for you. No matter what. Through thick and thin.
I hope my readers were blessed with sisters. If so I’d love to hear some stories of the bonds you may have or something silly you’ve done together.
Xoxo,
Kim
I just read your blog, it was beautiful. Filled my heart with warmth. I loved every bit of it. Tears to my eyes and a smile ear to ear. Thank you for writing such kind and loving words. You’re truly my bsfl. Love you with every piece of me.
Thank you baby sis. Love you! I could have wrote a whole novel on our relationship but I had to keep it short and sweet.
You write well, I enjoyed your post.
Thank you. I appreciate your kind words.
