Our first Monday wedding and it was definitely out of the ordinary. Mizuki + John were so easy to work with. Mizuki was full of life from the moment I walked through the door. Her excitement radiated throughout the entire venue. We loved spending one of the last nice summer nights with them. It was such a small sweet affair with friends and family traveling from Japan. Their wedding day was intimate and perfectly them.
A NOTE FROM THE BRIDE:
We had been in a long distant relationship for 4 years, John in the US and me in Japan. We met in Japan. He was studying Japanese at my university when I was a freshman there in 2012. But soon after we met, he had to left Japan and go back to his study at Yale. We texted everyday, we called, did Skype more than a hundred times. I went to see him during each school breaks, and he came to Japan to see me too. In the fifth time of my visit, he proposed me (and of course I said yes!). I was in a senior year then. While we applied for a visa, he moved to California for work and I graduated from my university. In summer 2016,
I finally got my visa. I was so happy that I can finally be with him(but also it means that I have to move far away from my family and friends so I cried and cried everyday). I moved to California and started living together in fall 2016. Now we relish small things like holding hands and sitting next to each other.
